That has been saved for countries like Brazil, England, German, Argentina, and some others. What has been happening in the USA since 1996 is steady growth in soccer. The soccer news coming out of the USA has been positive. I’ll be talking about some of ways the sport of soccer has been growing and expanding in the USA in the past decade or so.

The United States has always had a lots of young soccer players. Most kids play when they are little. Usually the allure of other sports pulls them away from the sport of soccer. Everyone knows the popularity of football, basketball, baseball and even sometimes hockey, trumps the popularity of soccer in the US. So most teenagers or slightly younger kids learn soccer, then leave the sport to start another. Since the inception of Major Leage Soccer, more kids are actually sticking with soccer and trying to become professionals. MLS doesn’t pay as well as other professional sports usually but if you get discovered and end up going to Europe or somewhere else, you can make millions.

The next game the USA was eliminated from play by a determined German team 1-0. The US team gave the Germans all they could handle in this game. It however showed the world the USA could get to the final eight of the world cup and still compete.

One last way to see soccer growing in the USA is in the soccer specific stadiums being built around MLS. There are currently 7 soccer specific stadiums in MLS. Two more are being added for the 2010 season. Also, an older stadium is being renovated in Portland for a MLS play in 2011. These new stadiums have the best soccer equipment, seating, vendors and more. Shops in these stadiums carry items such as soccer shoes, soccer jerseys and more. The New York Redbulls have lots of ways to improve in 2010. After their last season ending with a record of 5 wins 19 losses and 6 ties, things can hopefully only improve. With their new stadium in Harrison New Jersey finally ready to go it appears good things are on the horizon.

Preseason has yielded a new coach(Hans Backe) who has helped lead the Redbulls to a successful preseason. They just won the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, FL. Beating Toronto FC 4-0. Juan Pablo Angel scored three of the four goals.

Besides a new coach there are some other new faces as well as some that have been let go during preseason. Danny Cepero, Redbull goal keeper is now longer in a NY soccer jersey. Same goes with defender Carlos Johnson and Walter Garcia. The team also did not pick up midfielder Matthew Mbuta’s option. “Unfortunately, the four players were not part of our plans moving forward. We wanted to quickly make our decision on their situations here so they can pursue other options,” Erik Soler said in a statement.
“Danny is a very good professional and person and we appreciate his contributions to the club over the past three years. We wish him nothing but the best of luck in the future.”

Solidifying the team this season are returning veterans Mike Petke, Juan Pablo Angel, Seth Stammler, Carlos Mendes and Dane Richards to name a few. The team has the potential soccer equipment to get the job done. In players of course. As for Jersey design, it’s unknown at this point whether New York will continue to use their soccer jerseys from last year or not. They seem to have a new soccer Jersey design every year or two. The Red Bulls will also more than likely try to find another keeper before the season begins as well, as right now Bouna Coundoul is their only option. There are also rumors that NY is looking for another dynamic striker to work alongside Juan Pablo. Demani Ralph is currently training with the team so he is always an option for them. All these details should be ironed out before the season begins.

In closing the Redbulls have a lot to look forward to this season. A new coach, a new stadium. New players and hopefully a new work ethic will hopefully allow the team to continue to grow and finally compete for a cup to bring home to New York.

That list could go on forever, but the point is, what value is there to your life with that baloney? If you think about it, this is almost as of no use as the tabloids found at the supermarket checkout stand, only not as entertaining. Between the worthless noise of the major media, the newly discovered prophecies of Nostradamus, and “they’re coming to take our guns,” there are real, helpful, enlightening news stories. Information that might help give details where we, as a country, really are in any one of a hundred categories, what recently happened or might be coming that is good, bad or worth watching. Additionally, there are considerable numbers of real stories that offer hope, promise, or are filled with gallantry and courage.

Why is real news critical to you? Let’s list a few really significant reasons:

1 Some news that fails to make headlines are about product recalls. One drug manufacturer dragged their feet for over a year in recalling over the counter medications that were making people sick. United States Passports

 United States Sets Date for E-Passports

The U.S. State Division says all U.S. passports issued starting in October 2006 will contain RFID chips.

The U.S. Express Division issued its final rules today specifying its plans to concern electronic passports (e-passports) containing RFID tags. The division says it intends to begin its e-passport program in December. The first stage will be a pilot program in which e-passports will be issued to government employees utilizing official or diplomatic passports for government travel. This pilot, the division says, will permit field-testing prior towards the very first issuance towards the American traveling public, early next year. By October 2006, all U.S. passports, using the exception of a small number of emergency passports issued by U.S. embassies or consulates, will include RFID tags.

The final rule incorporates amendments resulting from comments to a proposed rule originally published in the Federal Register on Feb. 18. The State Department says it received a total of 2,335 comments concerning its proposal to introduce e-passports. The division categorized 98.5 percent from the feedback as negative, 1 percent as positive and 0.5 percent as neutral.
