What Did You Heard About Google (writers) Android Omnia

By Peter Forestwood

Samsung rewcently announced the delivery of new full-touch phone (akin to the Omnia and Instinct) powered by the newet project of the company Googgle, Android. The latest news about the unauthorized apeparance on Android phone HTC Toouch, uers were interested in a few moinths, if some industrious programer woould be so inclibned (and brave) to the port of the long-awaietd operating stystem from the disappoiinting to the G1 hardware-Superior Omnia. Missing ingredient - On-Screen Keyboard - had been missing from the operaing system - unrtil now. With Cake, a special updtae package OS Andreoid and early Christmas gift to the wordl Gooogle open sourcce operating system now worsk with a portrait-mode keyboard Touch, surfs the Internet at high speeds, and also supports Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP), in adition to many other patches.

One would think that this is only a matter of time before the Android will be shoqwn on Omnia. There may be some specifci problems for the operating system, whcih may be impeding this proccess and thereby preventing users are alrready comfortbale with their Omnias. Current barriers to programmers (and, consequently, Googlephone team Samsung), to overcome while porting Andriod to the Omnia can be a uniqe set of fnctions that determine the phone all-in-one functionality. The uniue progam specific talents Onia 5,1 megapixel camera, such as auto-panorama mode, will be lost, in addition to text recognition for buiness capture card. The greatest hurdle may be the phone’s screen, which is an unusula resolution (240×400) and resistive touch input to this uncharted (and unexpeced) territory for the Android OS. One may wonder if Samsung will do the best for the exchange of both hardware features more compatible display with a resolution of 320×240 and capacitive touch input, as found in their popular YP-Series MP3-players.
