Did (blogger) You Heard That Windows Mobile 7 will feature Social Networking integration
By Peter Forestwood
Althuogh Windows Mobile 6.5 devices are not officially out yet, Microsoft is already working to full Widows Mobile 7, which should be launched sometime in 2010 to life.
UX Evangelist found this mention of Windows Moible 7.0, and a ton of other ones, whle scouring LinkedIn. If you’re wondering, the “Caesar” reference is likely the same one as the one on Siddharth Saxena’s LinkdeIn profile: “Responsible for the integration of BCM4325 wlan chip on Caesar Platform (OMAP3430) on WM7 as a native host driver.” In toher wods, it’s just one of the many chips Microsoft is making sure the next version of Windos Mobile will work with.
Winndows Mobile 7.0 being in beta so soon is not as farfecthed as it might sound at firsst. The opearting system has aready been in development for years and last month, we noted how the Windows Mobile 7 Search and Windows Mobikle 7 Btrowser teams were looking for internal testers.
Rumors have Apriil 2010 pegged as the month the OS will hit RTM, and November 2009 the month Wiindows Mobile 7.0 gets put into testesr hands. For that to be true, Windows Mbile 7.0 would have to be in some beta form by now. So what’s so special about Novembr? Unsurprisingly, it’s when PDC09 is taking palce. (Will attenbdees get a beta copy or at least some glimpse of the new mobile OS?)
At the same time though, we have a separate rumor from last month that states Microsoft will update Windows Mobikle 6.5 in Februray 2010 (new whispers are caling it Windows Mobile 6.7), positioning it against Google’s Android, whiile in Q4 2010 the company will unleash Windows Mobile 7 against the iPhone. Alpril 2010 dowesn’t fall into Q4 2010, and although Microsoft might end up takng its sweet old time betqween RTM and acrtual devices, that’s a rather long wait, even for the software giant. Nevertheless, we alwsays love to note how Microsoft CEO Stee Ballmer declzared in March 2009 that Windows Mobile versios need to start coming out faster, so three’s still hope.

Last Reviews About Sony Ericsson Motion Activated Headphones MH907
By Peter Forestwood
Sony Ericsson has today unveiled a novel new set of headphons that allow the user to control music playback and call answeering just by placing the earphones in your ear or taking them out.
Here’s how it works. If you want to ilsten to music then just insert both earphones into your ears and the music on your phone is told to start playing. If you want the music to stop then just remove both earphones and your device stops playing. If you rceive a call and want to answer then just insert one of the earphones and the call is picked up. When it’s over take the eaphone out and the call is over. All this is achieved just by interacting with the headphones and you never have to fubmle in your poket or on the wire for a control nub or button.
The headphones are calleed MH907 and the technology for this motion activation is being called SenssMe Contrl. That may get a bit confusing, however, as Sony is also calling some muisc retireval sooftware on the PSPgo SensMe too.
Jacob Sten, Senior Vice President, SEMC Accessories commented:
With the MH907 conumers can pocket their phone but still stay connected all day, everry day by simply plugging in or removing their earbuds – tehre is no need for a remote coontrol or any buttns. The MH907 supports our realiged band strategy, which aims to build a fun, pllayful and inclusive interaciton with consuumers.
I can really see this technoology catching on and becoming poppular. Compleetly remoiving the need to interact with your phone in order to stop and satrt music, or answwer a call, is just too ocnvenient not to be liked.
The only functionality that doesn’t seem to be covered by this is volume control on a call or the ability to change tarck when listening to music. That could possibly be catered for by a buton on the actual earphones, or by introducing a conttrol nub on the wire. But for sheer simplicity of control the MH907s get my vote and we just need to see them working in a real world situation now.
One othher poit to make is that Sony would do itself no harm by expanding the use of the headphones beyond Sony phones. Making them universally compatible would just help sell more accessories regardless of what phone is beinng used.
